Responsabilidad social y educación superior. La voz de los jóvenes estudiantes en Chile

La sociedad contemporánea enfrenta una profunda crisis de valores, donde el relativismo moral ha provocado escándalos y graves consecuencias en instituciones educativas públicas y privadas. En este contexto, resulta evidente la falta de principios y valores éticos compartidos que orienten de manera coherente el comportamiento de los individuos dentro de la sociedad. Por consiguiente, es esperable que las instituciones de educación superior (IES) adopten estrategias que aporten a la formación de comportamientos socialmente responsables. El objetivo de este estudio es determinar la responsabilidad social de los estudiantes de educación superior en relación con sus características sociodemográficas en Chile. Se utilizó un instrumento cuantitativo en una muestra no probabilística compuesta por 425 estudiantes de diversas IES. Se llevó a cabo un análisis factorial exploratorio (AFE), se estimaron los coeficientes de consistencia interna, se analizaron las diferencias estadísticas y se calcularon los tamaños de efecto correspondientes. Los resultados evidencian diversas estadísticas en relación con el nivel educativo (año de estudio), la composición del grupo (número) y el sexo. Se identifican diferencias asociadas principalmente al sexo, aunque con magnitudes pequeñas. Finalmente, los hallazgos sugieren la conveniencia de implementar diversas estrategias analíticas para profundizar la comprensión del fenómeno.
