This paper presents a dynamic approach to the Loss Function (LF) methodology described by Dr. Genichi Taguchi for the three types of quality characteristics, Nominal-is-best, Higher-is-best and Lower-is-best and their corresponding Analyses of Variance (ANOVA), and its corresponding Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). One of the objectives of the model is to replicate the behavior of the different curves described in Dr. Taguchi's methodology, which will be carried out by including graphical functions in the simulation model. The model is designed to be able to include an array of “n” values (measurements), and through its execution it is possible to obtain: the behavior of the curves for the 3 types of quality characteristics and their respective ANOVA with the Sullivan's approach. To develop the model, data taken from literature was used as input: size (n) and values (yi). Within the results, it was possible to replicate the behavior of the curves for each characteristic as well as their numerical values and the calculation of each of the variables that intervene in the mathematical approach of the methodology, as well as ANOVA results for each of the cases, level of variation due to the average and error, corresponding probabilities and also its significance level, therefore, it could be used as a tool for managerial and engineering decision making.
