Peer Review Process
Peer Review: The Journal adopts double-blind peer review for all submitted articles except for the editorial section. Confidentiality is maintained throughout the review process and peer reviewers are required to disclose any conflict of interest. Reviewers are not permitted to assess manuscripts where there is a conflict of interest, including collaborations with the author or direct competition. (See the workflow scheme of the editorial process at the end of this section)
The policy for double-blind peer review of Innovaciencia follows these guidelines:
- All manuscripts received undergo double-blind peer review, except for the editorial section.
- The review process is confidential, and reviewers are carefully selected to ensure their expertise in the article's topic.
- Reviewers must disclose any conflicts of interest they may have with the authors or the article's content before accepting the invitation to review it.
- If a conflict of interest arises, the reviewer will be replaced by another.
- Authors will not be aware of the reviewers' identities, and vice versa.
- Reviewers must provide a detailed and constructive evaluation of the manuscript, and make clear and justified recommendations for improvement.
- Authors will receive feedback and suggestions from reviewers to make necessary corrections before publication.
- The final decision to accept or reject a manuscript rests with the journal's editorial team, based on the reviewers' evaluations.
- Reviewers will be publicly recognized for their contribution to the manuscript's review.
- Authors may appeal an editorial decision if they believe it was unfair or inappropriate.
The editorial management of Innovaciencia through the OJS system ensures that all steps of the double-blind peer review process are carried out transparently and efficiently, allowing clear and fluid communication between authors, reviewers, and the editorial team of the journal.
