To incorporate and retain human talent, modern organizations invest in strategies that offer intangible rewards. The purpose of this study was to explore the relationship between job satisfaction and emotional compensation among the collaborators of Hospiclinic de Colombia SAS, Pamplona branch. A qualitative study with a phenomenological approach was conducted through semi-structured interviews with staff members. Atlas.ti software (version 23.2) was used to process the information and identify relevant patterns and classifications. Participants expressed appreciation for intangible benefits such as recognition, flexibility, and interpersonal support, which contribute to reducing stress, increasing motivation, and strengthening employee retention. However, the triangulation of the findings revealed that emotional salary is poorly understood and scarcely implemented within the organization. Consequently, it is concluded that, to promote employee satisfaction and a healthy work environment, the institution should strengthen its emotional compensation programs.
