To establish the degree of correlation between the consumption habits of video games and the gender of the students, a closed reagent survey was applied to a sample of 330 students from the Santander General Educational Institution in the municipality of Soacha, Cundinamarca. Five survey questions related to the use of video games were analyzed, ten research hypotheses were worked and the information was processed in SPSS, with a Chi-square test for the hypotheses, and the Pearson correlation test for the variables in study. The correlational analysis concerning the gender of the students showed that there is a relationship between the gender of the students with the consumption habits of video games. In addition, a significant correlation between the variables studied was largely evident. And it was concluded that adolescent men spend a lot of time playing video games than women.
