Industrial companies operate in a highly competitive environment, which requires the adoption of methodologies that generate strategic advantages. This SLR aims to analyze the impact of the 5S Methodology as a Lean Manufacturing tool in the organization of work and occupational safety in industrial processes, focusing on studies published in the last five years, with the purpose of identifying benefits, limitations and trends in its application. Fifty articles have been selected, highlighting how the implementation of this tool contributes to order, standardization, waste reduction and improvement of organizational discipline. The results show evidence of conformity on the improvements and benefits after the implementation of 5S to generate more efficient and safe work environments, even in the face of barriers and limitations due to resistance to change by personnel and insufficient commitment from the management level. The conclusions emphasize that the 5S methodology transcends continuous improvement by consolidating itself as a strategic resource that boosts organizational efficiency and sustainability; its application optimizes work spaces, reduces losses and fosters a culture of discipline and responsibility that strengthens productivity and safety. However, resistance to change and cultural barriers continue to be the main challenges for its long-term consolidation in industrial environments.
