Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale: avaliação da autoeficácia no gerenciamento da doença crônica

Resumen

Introdução: Autoeficácia é definida como a crença do indivíduo na sua capacidade de controlar eventos adversos que podem influenciar sua vida, e vem sendo investigada em programas de gerenciamento da doença crônica. Dentre os instrumentos que mensuram a autoeficácia, destaca-se a Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale. Assim, esta revisão sistemática teve como objetivo identificar na literatura os estudos que utilizaram a Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale como ferramenta para avaliação da autoeficácia. Materiais e Métodos: A busca de artigos foi realizada nas bases de dados Science Direct, PubMed, BIREME, LILACS, SCIELO e Google Acadêmico, utilizando como usando o descritor Self-Efficacy for Managing Chronic Disease 6-Item Scale. Os artigos foram pesquisados manualmente, considerando como critérios de inclusão publicações entre os anos de 2001 e 2017; escritas nos idiomas português, espanhol e inglês; com acesso online do texto completo e estudos que utilizaram a escala como ferramenta para avaliar a autoeficácia. Resultados: Foram encontradas 36 publicações nas bases de dados pesquisadas. Dessas, 15 publicações foram selecionadas conforme critérios de inclusão para esta revisão. Discussão: Observa-se a utilização do instrumento em diferentes contextos, tais como investigar a prevalência de dor; avaliar e implementar programas de autogestão e autogerenciamento da DC; investigar comportamentos de autocuidado, entre outros. É uma escala utilizada em diversas doenças crônicas, traduzida para diferentes idiomas e culturas, fazendo-se importante nos cuidados em saúde. Conclusões: Os estudos apontam que a escala é um instrumento importante e confiável para avaliar a autoeficácia no gerenciamento de diferentes doenças crônicas.
